Emma Hofmann

Emma Hofmann passed away in 2017 from glioblastoma - a ravaging form of brain cancer. When friends and acquaintances learned of Emma’s illness, they began to send letters, dozens of letters. Each letter recalled a time when Emma had extended the writer some small act of kindness: a compliment, someone to sit with at lunch, or the loan of a pencil or a book in class. The gestures were almost invisible...but every person told how much that particular gesture had meant at the time.

The Emma Hofmann Memorial Fund raises funds to ensure that small gestures of kindness continue to radiate outward throughout our community.
